TAFSEER JUZ’ TABARAK

Posted on 08 March 2010 by Webmaster

From the night that Allah ordered Muhammad awake from his sleep to stand in prayer, to the ayat that describe the reaction of the Jinn to the beauty of the Qur’an, Juz Tabarak is full of many blessed reminders.

Muzzamill, Mudathir, Mulk, Qalam – these surahs contain some of the very first ayat to be revealed to the Prophet sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam, and are filled with strong words of engouragement, warning, and advice to the newly formed ummah of Muslims in Makkah. Though seemingly insignificant in terms of their legnth, these suwar held within them the ingredients which cultivated the faith, hope, and determination that drove the Sahabah – radi Allahu anhum – to become the greatest community of humans to ever walk the earth.

What is so special about the this ju’z? What is Allah telling us?

Dear Seeker of Truth,

I’d like you to take a moment and contemplate what the Qur’an means to you. You’ve asked yourself this question many times before, but let’s make today different. Today is the day you are going to take a cold, hard look at the facts. Look in the mirror. What is it that you see? A person who has fallen short in their commitment to the book of Allah? Or an ‘abd of Allah who wants to seize the opportunity to come close to the Words of his Creator?

Let me explain.

In Surah Ale Imran, verse 103, Allah refers to the Qur’an as His rope. Why? Simple. It is a miracle of miracles, the link between the Creator and His servants, the guide to our salvation and a healing for body, mind, and soul.

And hold firmly to the rope of Allah, and be not divided, and remember His blessings upon you!” [3: 103]

“The fuel of revelation reaches him, and gives glad tidings to his heart…”

Masha Allah, the Shaykh is amazing! I haven’t heard someone speak with such inspiration in a long time. His knowledge is amazing; he quotes an ayah or hadith to explain a concept. He has a way to get to the heart. Masha Allah. He is unique, with his own style.”

Surah Yusuf is the story that has fascinated generations of Muslims for hundreds of years.

→  It has garnered tears, like those of the noble patriarch who so dearly loved his son.

→  It has reminded many in confined situations to glorify the favors of their Creator despite and during all tribulations.

→  It has spoken to brothers, sons, fathers on the value of maintaining familial ties, the ties that bind.

→  It has warned women on the dangers of being like “the female companions of Yusuf”, those that were so vain and so sinful, that their conduct created havoc and mischief.

“It was a spiritually-reviving journey into the lives of some of the many great figures in Islam. SubhanAllah! This seminar made me rethink my purpose in this world and helped me make the most important decision in my life! Alhamdulillah! Allah SWT showers his blessings in so many ways and I think the most-wanted one I was wishing for came through AlMaghrib!”
